Hi there!!
I wanted to share a card I made recently for my nephew Maverick's 3rd birthday. It's a simple, yet fun card that was very simple to make. My nephew is so darn cute... He asked his mom (who has amazing craft talent) if she had made this card after it had fallen off the mantle the other day. After she explained that Auntie Jamie had made it, he handed it to her & said 'awww... here mom, this is special!'.... Hearing that just made my day and reminded me of why I love to make my own greeting cards for the special people in my life. I hope that by sharing cards that are very simple to make will help inspire those of you that are new to cardmaking. It takes just minutes of your time and is so worth it to see the smile on someone's face when they open your handmade card!
Everything I used to make this card is from Close To My Heart & can be purchased through my website by clicking the shop link at the top of this page or by clicking the links in the directions below.
Directions:
1. Cut two different patterned papers 4"x3" & 3"x2.5". I used the Later Sk8r Paper Pack.
2. Ink the outer edges of the center paper with the Outdoor Denim Ink Pad & a Sponge Dauber.
3. Center both pieces of paper onto a Colonial White Card Base with adhesive.
4. Stamp sentiment in the center using the Outdoor Denim Ink Pad. I used a stamp set that is now
retired but there are several to choose from here.
5. Stamp a patterned star onto white cardstock using Outdoor Denim Ink & cut out using
CTMH's
Micro-tip Scissors (they make cutting a breeze!). Adhere star to one of the corrugated
Milepost Shapes Stars after giving them a good inking with the Outdoor Denim Ink & then
adhere both stars to the card.
That's it! Easy Peasy!
I hope this tutorial was easy to follow for you. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me!
Wishing you a fabulously crafty day,
